The day will cover basic anatomy and physiology of the brain including the pathophysiology which occurs when an individual is exposed to a traumatic incident, how acute stress resulting from type 1 and 2 trauma and moral injury manifests itself over time, and how to safely perform a TRiM assessment to establish the best course of action for the individual, from active monitoring (NICE, 2018) to support to access professional counseling services.
