NAEMT's Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) is the leading course for prehospital practitioners in advanced
medical assessment and treatment of commonly encountered medical conditions. AMLS is created by NAEMT and endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians. AMLS emphasizes the use of the AMLS Assessment Pathway to best manage patients in medical crises. Now in its 4th edition, the AMLS Instructor Update prepares instructors to teach the revised course.
The 4th edition Instructor Update will provide AMLS faculty with the following:
• Review of the compendium of changes to the AMLS textbook;
• Review of the changes to the course schedule, lessons, patient simulations, and course manual;
• Identification of key teaching points in the course; and
• NEW – demonstrations of select AMLS patient simulations by experienced AMLS faculty.
The update is designed for current 3rd edition AMLS instructors. Current AMLS instructors who attend the Instructor Update will be qualified to teach the 4th edition course materials.
Participants will receive 4 hours of CAPCE-approved credit. Textbook and instructor materials are included and will be provided to attendees upon publication.
